About the Role

In this key position, you will be responsible for overseeing the quality assurance processes within an innovative company that specializes in producing high-quality components for various industries. Key Responsibilities

  • Quality Assurance Leadership:
    • Develop and implement comprehensive quality control plans and procedures specifically for composite manufacturing.
    • Ensure that all materials and products comply with designated quality standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential quality issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Assess current quality processes and identify opportunities for improvement to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Apply quality management methodologies, such as Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing, to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Team Development:
    • Lead and mentor the quality team, promoting best practices and quality awareness across the organisation.
    • Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team performance and capabilities.
  • Effective Communication:
    • Communicate quality-related issues and concerns to relevant stakeholders, including management, production teams, and customers.
    • Collaborate with various departments to ensure that quality is a key focus throughout all business operations.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations, including ISO AS9100 and ISO 14001 environmental systems.
    • Stay updated on changes in industry standards to maintain compliance.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Educational Background: A degree or HND in engineering, manufacturing, quality management, or a related field.
  • Professional Experience: Experience in composite manufacturing, aerospace, defence, or similar industries is essential.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of quality management systems and industry standards.
  • Core Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
