Due to retirement we have a vacancy for a Recovery Driver within our family run business.
We work with the major breakdown and recovery agencies such as Green Flag, LV Britannia and the RAC.
We are looking for an applicant who has as a minimum a C1 category driving licence so they can drive upto 7.5 ton vehicles but C1E/ C or CE categories would be an advantage but is not essential. Depending on your driving licence you'll be required to drive a variety of vehicles as part of this role.
The vacancy will be from 40 hours per week which increases during the busy periods and dependant of the needs of the business. You must be able to work all over the country returning vehicles to their owners who have been on holiday in the county. When working away from the county you will have suitable accommodation supplied for you.
You should have experience of driving to the EU standards and domestic regulations.
You'll be use to working to tacho regulations and understand the importance of vehicle walk around checks. You should be use to planning your journeys and how many hours the journey will take and where you need to take your breaks and where your suitable end accommodation should be.
You must have a current drivers CPC card with at least one year left before you require further training.
If you have a current DBS enclosure certificate this would be an advantage but not essential.
While a lot of our work is repatriation of vehicles so you will not necessarily carry customers but sometimes it is part of the role so you must have good customer service skills.
We are looking for a team player who will fit in well with the other staff within our business.
This vacancy is to start in January 2025.
