Order Processor/Estimator

My client specialises in working with customers and suppliers to provide solutions and best products at an affordable price. Based in Newry, they are currently seeking an Order Processor/Estimator to join their team.

This is a Full-Time, Permanent position.

Working hours: Mon-Thu 7.30 / 8am – 5.30am and Friday 7.30/8am – 4pm

With a salary of £28,000 to £35,000 per annum.

Job Role:

You will be responsible for assisting the Technical Department in processing material requirements to suppliers in a timely manner and exceeding delivery timelines.

Essential Criteria:

  • Previous experience within a similar role.
  • Proficiency and experience in processing and estimating software as well as Microsoft Office Suite (to include Excel, Word and Outlook) – full training will be given but this would be an advantage.
  • Excellent numerical skills.
  • Proficiency in CAD would be an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload while adhering to deadlines.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Technical Department to process material requirements to suppliers in a timely manner. This will include assisting in the checking of orders already processed.
  • Assist the Technical Department to price material requirements for commercial and retail enquiries.
  • Assist the Technical department to manage the delivery of orders placed.
  • Assist the Installation Manager to program installations and service calls.
  • Communicate with internal customers to confirm current lead times on pricing enquiries.
  • Provide advice on products/current delivery times of products/performance level of products.
  • Assist the Technical Department in the production of any customer or CAD drawings as requested.
