Bookkeeper/Finance Assistant - Bovey Tracey/Newton Abbot - 26,000 to 29,000
Acorn by Synergie is seeking an experience Bookkeeper/Finance Assistant for their client based in Bovey Tracey, Newton Abbot.
Our client is a small, friendly company who operate in the leisure industry. With this in mind you must be a hands on person who is happy to get stuck into any other duties that would support the Office Manager. To be considered you must have experience of using Xero & Clik software and be happy to support the Office Manager with general admin. Also if you have any experience with marketing that would be highly desirable.
Full time, Monday to Friday 9am-5pm (one hour lunch break un paid) - 26k-29K
Duties:
- Maintaining purchase and sales ledgers.
- Maintain Clik invoicing from Job Sheets
- Resolving all invoices queries with supplies and customers.
- Managing credit control of overdue accounts and highlighting any to directors.
- Collating and recording expenses, reconciling credit card statements, petty cash and bank accounts.
- Month end duties including payment runs, journal entries, management accounting, reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
- Submitting Vat returns.
- Producing month end accounts
- Liaising with external accountants
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Responsibility of maintaining the engineer's timesheets for external payroll processing
- Timely payment of PAYE, VAT, Corporation tax to HMRC.
