An exciting opportunity awaits a skilled Design Engineer to join our clients dynamic and innovative team. This role focuses on the design of custom marine components, translating specific requirements into accurate, manufacturable solutions. Ideal candidates will have a solid background in engineering and hands-on experience with manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and design marine components, including shaft lines and propellers.
  • Produce detailed 2D and 3D CAD designs, reporting to the Engineering Manager.
  • Collaborate with clients to determine technical requirements.
  • Coordinate closely with Engineering, Sales, and Manufacturing teams to ensure smooth project delivery.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software (AutoCAD essential; Solidworks is a plus).
  • Experience in addressing complex design challenges.
  • Ability to handle projects of diverse sizes, timelines, and complexities.
  • Experience designing components and assemblies (marine industry experience is advantageous).
  • Familiarity with manufacturing-oriented design and production settings.
  • Knowledge of industry design codes and classification standards.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Solid mathematical and numerical abilities.
  • Relevant engineering qualifications or equivalent experience.
