We are advertising on behalf of our client, an international business for an experienced Design Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to join this business during a period of sustained growth with the ability to work in within a very varied and experienced team.
The role-
- Design new engineering products and processes using CAD software (2 & 3D)
- Create models and drawings of products.
- Research new product ideas and methods.
- Improve existing products and processes.
- Ensure compliance with industry safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of design processes and outcomes.
- Write detailed reports and present findings to managers and customers.
- Find creative design solutions to problems.
- Collaborate with the Engineering, Sales and Manufacturing teams.
- About you-
- Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD software, (AutoCAD is essential, solid works desirable).
- Experience of providing technical solutions to design challenges.
- Confident in working with projects of varying size, timeframe and complexity.
- Experience in design of components and assemblies.
- Previous manufacturing experience with a knowledge of the production environment would be beneficial.
- An understanding of design codes and classification rules and regulations.
- Previous experience working on multiple projects with tight deadlines.
- Engineering qualification and or equivalent experience.
