About The Role:

The company are currently looking to recruit an experienced fire and security engineer to assist with scheduled maintenance, repairs and installations throughout the south west area.

The candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience across all disciplines, be self-motivated, well presented, ambitious, organised and have the desire to progress within this growing company. Confidence and excellent verbal and written communication skills are also essential. The candidate should be familiar with good health & safety practices and must be entirely trustworthy. Employment will be subject to successful completion of security vetting.

Duties & Responsibilities:

To attend and undertake repairs, installations and scheduled maintenance of fire and security systems throughout the south west area to include:

  • Routine inspections in accordance with current British Standard recommendations including completion of company documentation (including electronic documents) and identification of any non-conformities / variations where applicable.
  • Un-scheduled site attendances (corrective calls) to diagnose and rectify faults. A 'first time fix’ approach should be adopted in order to minimise the need for return visits.
  • Completion of small works projects such as panel changes or the addition of equipment to existing installations.
  • Assisting with larger installations when needed.
  • Provision of out of hours emergency cover within the call-out rota (currently 1 week in 5).
  • Management of company vehicle and stock.
