We are working with a well-respected law firm who have a great opportunity for someone to join their friendly team in a customer facing supporting role, no legal experience necessary!

JOB TITLE: Legal Customer Service Administrator

LOCATION: Newton Abbot

SALARY: 22,000 rising to 22,500 following probation period

BENEFITS: 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays.

HOURS: 9:00am-5.00pm Monday - Friday (35 hours)

TYPE: Full Time /Permanent

THE COMPANY: A well respected and longstanding legal firm specialising in Criminal Law, who provide a friendly and welcoming environment for their employees, plus opportunities to develop.

THE ROLE: The Customer Service Administrator will provide a key role in assisting this busy and expanding criminal law firm. You will support the Legal Advisors and other team members with their daily task lists, liaising with clients over the phone and helping with their queries, along with general admin duties.

Please note you will not be expected to give legal advice but provide excellent communication and customer service skills and an ability to be empathetic with clients when needed.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Helping the Legal Advisors build good working relationships with clients

Making follow up calls with clients to ensure all information and case history is up to date and on track

Maintaining records of calls and keeping an accurate diary system

Taking payments and liaising with the Accounts team

Other administrative duties requested by Legal Advisors

YOUR SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

Good communication and customer service skills - both oral and written

Good professional telephone manner

Accurate word-processing and typing skills

Paying fine attention to detail

Competent IT skills including knowledge in Microsoft Office and Outlook

Work well within a team as well as being able to use your own initiative and work independently

This role would suit someone who has previously worked in a role providing telephone support to clients and customers. Prior experience within the legal industry is not required, however if you do have an interest in criminal law, this position will give you great exposure to the industry and an opportunity to learn from a really supportive team!
