Our client, a leading designer and manufacturer in the marine equipment industry, is seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer to join their innovative team in Newton Abbot. This permanent role offers the chance to work on marine electronics, contributing to cutting-edge projects in the maritime sector.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop PCB layouts, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices
  • Work on mixed-signal circuit design, including both analog and digital components
  • Contribute to the entire electronics development lifecycle, from concept to production
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software and mechanical engineers, to integrate electronics into final products
  • Perform testing, debugging, and validation of electronic circuits and firmware
  • Maintain documentation for designs, processes, and test results
  • Keep up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends


Job Requirements:

  • Experience in electronics engineering within the marine or maritime sector
  • Strong expertise in PCB layout design and general circuit board build
  • Proficiency in mixed-signal circuit design
  • Experience with firmware development using Python, C++, or Java
  • Familiarity with the full electronics development lifecycle
  • Ability to troubleshoot, test, and validate electronic designs
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills


Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with RF or FPGA design
  • Knowledge of signal integrity and high-speed digital design
  • Experience with industry-standard design and simulation tools
