Our client is seeking an experienced technical solar PV professional with a background in large-scale roof and ground-mounted systems and sound electrical knowledge. This sector-leading business is dedicated to the nation's net-zero ambitions and energy decarbonisation.
Responsibilities
- Provision of technical management and oversight at tender stage to ensure projects are assessed and PV systems design, specification, performance, quality, and project timescales are deliverable.
- Management of the installation team to ensure technical compliance.
- Developing good working relationships with clients, consultants, sub-contractors, and suppliers.
- Liaising with suppliers, site staff, and installation teams.
- Solar PV / Electrical contracting installations - average of 1MW rooftop and 5-20MW private wire ground-mounted systems.
- Specification and procurement of materials and equipment.
- Issuance of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
- Maintaining documentation accurately and updating QMS.
Requirements
- Previous experience delivering roof-mounted and ground-mounted Solar PV projects.
- Battery storage modelling experience.
- HV/LV connection knowledge (ideally with DNO background).
- Engineering technical excellence and pride in work/project outcomes.
- Strong Project Management skills, ensuring optimal design and costs on all projects.
- Minimum 3 years' experience managing commercial-scale solar PV projects and teams, in addition to managing UK DNO G99 & G100 requirements and conditions.
- Ability to interpret PV and electrical designs.

- Problem-solving needs to be something you enjoy and are good at. A strong drive to deliver on time, on budget, and on quality is essential.
Salary
The package on offer for this role includes an attractive basic salary up to £75,000 (depending on experience) and a profit share bonus.
Location
Our client's head offices are based in the South West, with contracts across the UK. The role will be predominantly office-based with occasional site visits.
