Production Operative Night Shift

Temporary to Permanent

Newton Abbot, Devon

gap personnel Exeter, are recruiting for a Production Operative on a temporary to permanent basis for our client who is a market leading engineering manufacturer in Newton Abbot, Devon.

As a production operative, your work will encompass working as a member of the manufacturing team to complete various aspects of the manufacturing process. You will be expected to operate machinery, perform quality control, understand, and implement Health & Safety knowledge.

As a Production Operative your duties will include:

  • Working within the production area
  • Ensuring that all products are loaded correctly onto machine processing line
  • Machinery is running at correct speed and any issues are correctly reporting
  • Product quality checks.
  • To maintain a tidy and clean working environment.

About You:

  • Have proven experience within the manufacturing sector.
  • Possess good manual dexterity.
  • Possess a good eye for detail and be able to spot defects and faults.
  • Possess the ability to record numerical data.
  • Be able to interpret instructions in order to meet specified standards.

Working Hours & Pay:

  • Monday to Wednesday, 6pm – 6am (36hrs) 
  • £12.44ph

Easily accessible on public transport.

Successful candidates will be pro-active team workers, liaising and co-operating with all members of staff. Operate within the confines of company policy and procedure requirements, including integrity and confidentiality in respect of the business, whilst abiding by health and safety legislation in respect of yourself and others.
