Our client is a respected organisation with a focus on community service. They are seeking a full-time Finance and Accounting Apprentice to assist with various accounting tasks and financial administration.
Finance Apprentice Responsibilities:- Input and process supplier invoices and credit notes
- Ensure compliance with organisational authorisation procedures
- Reconcile supplier statements and investigate discrepancies
- Monitor and follow up on unapproved invoices and expense claims
- Handle supplier and expense payment queries
- Assist with payment runs based on aged creditor analysis
- Support quarter-end and year-end close processes
- GCSE English and Maths (grade C/4 or above)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages, especially Excel and Word
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
- Discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Willingness to learn and apply new skills
- Empathy towards working in a faith environment
- Proficiency in MS Teams (training available)
- Previous accounts or bookkeeping experience
- 4 weeks annual leave plus statutory bank holidays (pro-rata)
- 4 additional days off between Christmas and New Year

This Finance and Accounting Apprentice role offers an excellent opportunity for a local candidate to develop a career in finance.
