Our client is a respected organisation with a focus on community service. They are seeking a full-time Finance and Accounting Apprentice to assist with various accounting tasks and financial administration.

Finance Apprentice Responsibilities:
  • Input and process supplier invoices and credit notes
  • Ensure compliance with organisational authorisation procedures
  • Reconcile supplier statements and investigate discrepancies
  • Monitor and follow up on unapproved invoices and expense claims
  • Handle supplier and expense payment queries
  • Assist with payment runs based on aged creditor analysis
  • Support quarter-end and year-end close processes
Finance Apprentice Requirements:
  • GCSE English and Maths (grade C/4 or above)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages, especially Excel and Word
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
  • Discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Willingness to learn and apply new skills
  • Empathy towards working in a faith environment
Desirable Skills:
  • Proficiency in MS Teams (training available)
  • Previous accounts or bookkeeping experience
