Yard Operative

We are working in partnership with highly reputable manufacturing company based in Newton Abbot are currently recruiting for Yard Operative with immediate starts.
The company are specialists within converting and manufacturing of wheelchair accessible vehicles and you will be joining a dedicated team with strong sales orders and a backlog of vehicles to complete. The business goes from strength-to-strength year on year, and production shows no signs of slowing down and the reason for the recent influx of recruitment for the site. The site heavily promotes internal promotion with many of the team progressing from shop floor to management positions.
As a Yard Operative your duties will include:
- Cleaning work areas and disposing of waste properly
- Conducting routine checks for damage or wear on equipment
- Ensuring pathways and loading areas are clear and safe
- Keeping the yard tidy and well-organised
- Potentially helping in the production area
About You:
- Previous experience of working within a factory environment (desirable but not essential)
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Full UK / EU driving license
Working Hours & Pay:
- 8am – 4.30pm, Monday to Friday
- £12.00ph, Overtime paid at x1.5 after 40 hours
- Annual performance related bonuses (twice a year reviews)

Operate within the confines of company policy and procedure requirements, including integrity and confidentiality in respect of the business. Abide by health and safety legislation in respect of yourself and others.
