About the Senior Community Enforcement Advisor role

As a Senior Community Enforcement Advisor, you will ensure the Community Housing Officers and Independence and Wellbeing Advisers implement the Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Policy and Procedure consistently and appropriately and oversee action to ensure that tenants keep the terms of their tenancy. You will review cases, provide advice on complex cases and take the lead on multi-agency liaison.

You will help to ensure that Teign Housings work on ASB and other tenancy breaches is publicised and communicated to residents and partner agencies and ensure that residents are informed and educated about the role of Teign Housing and other agencies in tackling ASB and tenancy breaches, the timescales involved, and the thresholds needed for enforcement action.

In this role, you will prepare cases for court and liaise with our legal specialists and partner agencies.

About you

Ideally, you will have good knowledge of landlord and tenant legislation, procedure and best practice relating to both general tenancy and other tenures, along with a minimum of two years experience in housing management and/or managing ASB.

Youll have awareness of welfare benefits, particularly housing benefits and experience of supporting residents with mental health illnesses.

As a Senior Community Enforcement Advisor, youll have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with vulnerable residents and senior professionals.
