Quality Inspector

Newton Abbot, Devon

gap personnel Exeter, are currently recruiting for a Quality Inspector based in Newton Abbot, Devon.

As a Quality Inspector your duties will include:

  • Checking paperwork and job numbers match.
  • Completing Quality checks in a timely manner.
  • Checking for damages.
  • Inspect the vehicle using confirmation/amendments making sure customer specifications are met and ensure it is of the highest quality.
  • Repair any issues to the vehicle and any major defects, escalate to Manager/Leading Hand promptly and accurately.
  • Complete all Quality Control paperwork and pass to relevant department for product release.
  • Assist Production where necessary.

About You:

  • Able to make decisions.
  • You will need an excellent eye for detail.
  • Previous experience with vehicle inspection and maintenance
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulations
  • Ability to identify and diagnose vehicle issues.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Hand Tools experience – beneficial

Working Hours & Pay:

  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 0800am – 1630pm
  • £12.24 per hour

Successful candidates will be pro-active team workers, liaising and co-operating with all members of staff. Operate within the confines of company policy and procedure requirements, including integrity and confidentiality in respect of the business.
