Job Title: Purchasing Assistant (Part-Time) to start ASAP

Location: Francesca's Recruitment Ltd, Newton Abbot

Contract Type: Fixed Term (12 months), with potential to become permanent

Working Hours: 27 hours per week, Monday to Thursday/Friday

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 pro rata (dependent on experience)

Role Description:

Francesca's Recruitment Ltd is urgently seeking a talented Purchasing Assistant to support our divisional and group procurement functions. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team, with an immediate start available and the potential to secure a permanent position.

Essential Duties:

  • Assist with the procurement of goods and services to support divisional and group needs

  • Plan and forecast material requirements to ensure smooth manufacturing operations

  • Expedite Purchase Orders, update delivery dates, and maintain accurate system information

  • Address, resolve, and escalate any delays or issues with suppliers

  • Maintain accurate information (pricing, lead times, etc.) in the organisation’s ERP system

  • Collaborate closely with the Finance Team to resolve invoice queries promptly

  • Support Research & Development initiatives within required timelines

  • Perform any other purchasing administrator responsibilities as needed

Education & Experience:

  • Essential: Work experience in procurement & supply chain

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel

  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, 13485, and 14001 standards

  • Good understanding of supply chain procedures

  • Commercially savvy

  • Experience with MRP/ERP Database Systems
