Maths Teacher responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality maths lessons to secondary school students
  • Assess and monitor students' progress, providing constructive feedback
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Use a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development
  • Engage with parents and carers to support students' academic progress

Requirements of the Maths Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Degree in Mathematics or a related subject
  • Experience teaching KS3-KS4 mathematics
  • Strong knowledge of the secondary maths curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to fostering a positive learning environment
  • Ability to inspire and engage students with a passion for mathematics
