gap personnel Exeter, working in partnership with the UK's largest independent privately owned distributor and we are recruiting for a Warehouse Operatives.

Reporting directly to the Warehouse Supervisor, Warehouse & Distribution Manager and Depot Manager, the purpose of the Warehouse Operative will be to complete tasks which assist the day to day running of the Warehouse, the upkeep of the warehouse. The role is quite physical and manual handling is one of the main requirements.

Key responsibilities:

  • Adhering to good practice within the warehouse.
  • Responsible for correctly picking orders and placing in the correct location for deliveries.
  • Always being aware of possible stock shortages and informing the warehouse Supervisors or the managers so that they can be ordered.
  • Assist with stock audits.
  • Ensure that you follow the correct health and safety procedures.
  • Wear the correct equipment for your job when on site, for example, safety boots, gloves, the correct high visibility vest.
  • Being able to prioritise workloads.
  • Flexible approach to working.

About you:

  • Warehouse experience
  • Previous use of a Pallet Truck
  • Counterbalance or Reach Truck Forklift Licence desirable.
  • Happy with Manual Work.
  • Must be motivated and have willingness to learn.

The Hours & Pay:

  • Monday to Friday, shifts within the hours of 0830am – 1700pm (39hrs week)
  • £12.26ph

Operate within the confines of company policy and procedure requirements, including integrity and confidentiality in respect of the business. Abide by health and safety legislation in respect of yourself and others.
