Apprentice Administrator

Established in 2004 our client is a leading manufacturer of quality cabinets, supplying to tradesmen and retailers of kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms. Due to an increase in work our client is looking at expanding their team and are looking to recruit an Administrator to work in their offices whilst undertaking a level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship.

Duties:

  • Answering and making telephone calls
  • Dealing with customer queries
  • Communication by email
  • Using bespoke IT package
  • Booking in orders and chasing up paperwork
  • Creating Sales Orders/Quotes
  • Filing
  • Purchase ordering
  • Ordering stationery
  • Credit control
  • General office tasks

Required knowledge, skills or experience:

  • Good IT skills and able to type with ease.
  • Good work ethic
  • Excellent time-keeping and attendance
  • Must have good spelling, punctuation, grammar
  • Confident
  • Must ask for help when needed
  • Preferably with a full driving licence and car, as some post office trips are necessary

Hardworking and reliable, a team player with a mature, positive attitude and a sense of humour. You must be able to use your initiative and be pro-active, with the ability to work under pressure. You must be friendly, courteous and professional with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers and colleagues.

Additional Information

Location: Newton Aycliffe

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 8am - 4.30pm

Rates of pay: National Apprentice Wage - £6.40 p/h
