CNC Press Brake Setter

  • Location: Newton Aycliffe
  • Rate of Pay: £13 - £15.50 per hour
  • Day shift – 4 day working week, Mon – Thursday 7:45am to 5:30pm
  • OT available if wanted
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Permanent position

What You’ll Do:

  • Program, set, and operate CNC press machinery to exact specifications.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings with accuracy.
  • Perform pressing, punching, and fabrication tasks with advanced equipment.
  • Carry out machine maintenance and report service needs.
  • Ensure safety compliance and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and best manufacturing practices.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience – At least 3 years in a relevant industry, operating press brake machinery.
  • Qualifications – NVQ Level 2 in Machine Operations (or equivalent).
  • Skills – Strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and a good understanding of engineering principles and materials.
  • Technical Knowledge – Ability to interpret design drawings and apply Lean manufacturing principles (an advantage).
  • Team Player – A proactive, can-do attitude and a flexible approach to work.
