I am working with a client based in Newton Aycliffe who is seeking a Customer Service Administrator to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

The ideal candidate will be highly organised, possess excellent telephone skills, and have strong administrative abilities. This role is central to ensuring that both key account clients and spot clients receive exceptional customer service. As the first point of contact for clients, you will manage customer needs, demonstrate flexibility, build strong relationships, and proactively support processes where necessary.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude towards customers at all times.
  • Respond promptly to customer enquiries across various channels, ensuring satisfaction.
  • Process orders and coordinate cost-effective delivery to the depot.
  • Generate accurate rates and quotations, identifying opportunities for new business.
  • Resolve customer complaints and provide feedback to improve service efficiency.
  • Ensure customs processes and documentation meet all necessary standards, including onboarding clients with relevant brokers.
  • Monitor and update customer accounts, portals, and KPI reports.
  • Communicate delays, resolve agent queries, and provide proof of delivery (POD) in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across departments and support team members when needed.
  • Support the retention and growth of key accounts while responding to market changes.
