Working Hours: Continental Shifts (7am-7pm/7pm-7am – 4on 4off)

Job Description:
As a Instrument Technician, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining high health, safety, and environmental standards. Your expertise in electrical and distribution systems will ensure seamless operations across the site. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting planned and breakdown maintenance.
  • Diagnosing and resolving plant breakdowns.
  • Performing electrical inspections, fault diagnosis, and repairs.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement projects and upholding ISO standards.
  • Supporting team training to achieve multidisciplinary skills.

This position is integral to minimizing plant downtime and ensuring a smooth production schedule. You will work closely with process operators and vendors to enhance operational efficiency.

Skills & Experience:

  • Time-served apprenticeship in Instrumentation, Control, or Electrical discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of post-apprenticeship experience in Process or Chemical Plant maintenance.
  • Proficient in electrical drives, MCC, and distribution systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with DSEAR regulations and hazardous area inspections.
  • Knowledge of PH flow and level controls
  • Exposure and knowledge of PLC’s
  • Experience of working upon pneumatics would be advantageous for this role
  • Knowledge of ventilation, air conditioning, lighting, and UPS systems.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • ONC qualification or equivalent / time served apprenticeship
