Junior Buyer

Hours: 37.5 Hours per Week (Monday - Friday)

Salary: Up to £25k per annum

Contract: Permanent

Location: Newton Aycliffe

Job Purpose:

To work as part of the Supply Chain Team to support the effective buying of products, materials, and services relating to the manufacture of pressure transducers.

Responsibilities:

  • Indirect procurement of goods and services as required by the business
  • Expedite goods and services providing stakeholder feedback
  • Provide purchasing team with administrative support
  • Ensure vendor records and certification are up to date
  • Investigate and resolve invoice queries in a timely manner
  • Provide support to members of the purchasing team and other associated functions

Candidate Requirements

Demonstrable experience within a procurement role.

Ability to communicate effectively and build positive working relationships.

Strong team player

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and IT applications.

Experience of working with a range of internal and external stakeholder

Good organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise work and manage a number of tasks concurrently.

Ability to work under pressure and achieve targets.

Flexible approach to work.

Experience of a manufacturing environment. (desirable)

Working knowledge and experience of ERP systems. (desirable)
