The CompanyWe are pleased to be supporting a valued client of ours in their search for a Supply chain manager to fill a newly created position within a successful team. Our client is experiencing significant growth both from a volume and product range point of view and are looking to bring in a proactive, enthusiastic supply chain professional to support and develop the team.The RoleThis is a wide and varied with responsibility for day to day supply chain operations as well as the opportunity to get involved in wider coompany projects and NPI.Some of the key responsibilities will be:
  • Oversee the demand and material planning for the business, ensuring the planners are up to speed on growth trajectories
  • Co-ordinate customers’ orders into a production schedule, providing communication about order progress to the wider team
  • Manage the stock levels efficiently
  • Assess existing processes and proactively look for ways in which efficieny and customer satisfaction can be improved
  • Manage stakeholder relationships, ensuring the business is in the best place possible in terms of the ability to satisfy the increased demand
The PersonIn terms of skills and characteristics, we will be looking for someone who:
  • Is an experienced planner, with experience in a busy manufacturing environment
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build successful stakeholder relationships
  • Is analytical and data oriented, can work accurately and understand/ digest large quantities of data and utilise excel to compile reports
  • Proactive and innovative mindset, able to propose solutions and alternate ways of working to improve efficiencies within the department
  • Has a degree of people management experience and is keen to continue to manage a team, or at the point where they would like to/ and are capable of beginning their management journey
