JOB: Family SolicitorLOCATION: Newton-le-Willows

NQ - 4 Years PQE Level

The role would suit a person with a solid background and interest in family law, and the ability to maintain a varied case load covering different types of family law cases. You should ideally be able to deal with legal aid and public law / care matters as part of your work. The role will involve advocacy at an appropriate level, especially for directions hearings.

You will be working within a team structure but will have your own case load. You will have the benefit of support and we can provide assistance and training to ensure you are working at the right level as part of our team. You must however have the confidence and experience to run your own case load independently.

The ability to manage your own caseload.Be comfortable maintaining and strengthening existing client and professional relationships and helping build new.Have competent IT skills including the use of a case and document management system and be willing to learn new technology.An excellent communicator, both face to face and over the telephone.Ability to draft and prepare clear and concise documents.Attention to detail.Able to work accurately under pressureGood time and file management skills and be able to prioritise tasks.An interest in advocacy and willingness to represent clients before the court at directions and other appropriate hearings, and to develop as an advocate generally.An interest in marketing and in developing the Firm's practice including attendance at business development events and working with and supporting the Firm's marketing function in order to drive the growth of the departments.
