Are you a dedicated individual with excellent behaviour management skills and a passion for supporting students in their educational journey? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are currently recruiting Cover Supervisors to send to our secondary schools in Newton-le-Willows with flexible working hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage secondary school students during teacher absences, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Deliver pre-set lesson plans and maintain classroom discipline at the secondary school level. Foster a safe and inclusive atmosphere where secondary school students can thrive academically.
  • Adapt to a variety of subjects and year groups within a secondary school setting as required.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure the smooth running of the secondary school day.
  • Maintain high standards of professionalism and ethical conduct.

Requirements:

  • Strong behaviour management skills are essential, particularly in a secondary school context.
  • Flexibility to cover a range of secondary school subjects and year groups.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine passion for education and a desire to make a positive impact in a secondary school environment.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within a secondary school, is a plus.
  • An Enhanced DBS check is required for this position, or willingness to obtain one.
