Prospero Teaching are working closely with a successful primary school in Newon-le-willows to recruit an experienced SEN TA to work with children with additional needs. This is a part-time SEN TA role to start in January.

The SEN TA will be based in EYFS and will support individual children with learning activities, communication, social interaction, behaviour management and emotional regulation. You will also deliver interventions to children with additional needs, particularly autism, on a personalised basis for each child.

You will need to have experience in an SEN TA role and to have good understanding of the curriculum and expectations for EYFS. You must have knowledge and experience of delivering interventions programmes, how to support children with SEN, and have a compassionate, caring nature.

The SEN TA is required from Janaury and is an ongoing part-time role. Daily pay is in the range of £85to £100 depending on experience.

Essential requirements for this part-time SEN TA role:

  • Right to Work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS
  • Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant degree e.g. Childhood Studies, SEN, Psychology
  • Professional references covering the last two full years
  • Experience working in a UK Primary School
  • Experience as SEN TA supporting children with additional needs, particularly autism
