CNC Turning Engineer - Permanent - Cambuslang - Upwards of 18ph - Dayshift Monday to Friday

We are seeking an experienced CNC Turning Engineer to join our precision manufacturing team. In this role, you will program, set up, operate, and maintain CNC turning machines to produce high-quality components that meet exact specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program, set up, and operate CNC turning machines to produce precision components within tight tolerances.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Select and prepare cutting tools, fixtures, and setups for each job.
  • Monitor and adjust machine operations to ensure components meet quality standards.
  • Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.

Requirements

  • Engineering apprenticeship (preferred but not essential).
  • Proven experience in CNC or manual turning in a precision manufacturing setting (experience with manual setup machinery is advantageous).
  • Familiarity with CNC programming and setup processes.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and use precision measuring instruments.
