Workshop Plant Engineer - Permanent - Cambuslang - Monday to Friday - Salary upwards of 46,800pa


We are seeking a motivated Plant Engineer to join a growing team in Cambuslang, Central Scotland. This is a full-time, site-based role offering upwards of 46,800 (DOE), 29 days of annual leave including bank holidays, and opportunities for specialist training.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose faults, service, and maintain construction plant hire equipment to a high standard.
  • Work on machinery such as diggers, dumpers, excavators, sweepers, and other heavy equipment.
  • Perform machine upgrades, re-certification, and routine maintenance.
  • Maintain and repair equipment including JCB, Volvo, Caterpillar, and more.
  • Complete required administration and documentation accurately and on time.

Requirements

  • Experience in roles such as Engineer, Mechanic, Plant Fitter, Service Technician, or similar.
  • Background in construction plant maintenance or heavy machinery preferred.
  • NVQ in Plant Maintenance or similar qualifications are desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.

Skills and Qualifications

  • GCSE or BTEC in relevant fields (Engineering - Mechanical preferred).
  • Practical experience is prioritised over formal qualifications.
