Our role
As a Customer Liaison Officer on our Scottish Power Energy Networks contract, you will be responsible for ensuring customers receive an excellent service and ensure compliance against agreed levels of service. The role will ensure that on a day to day basis, our teams are completing jobs on schedule to a high quality. The CLO will also be responsible for managing close out calls with the customer at the end of the job and ensuring our customers are 100% satisfied with everything we have done. In addition to the above, the role will support the wider team in understanding and analysing customer survey data and leading process improvements for the customer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive to various work sites to assess and report on power outages affecting connected customers.
- Trace and follow power lines to precisely identify the properties affected by the outage.
- Communicate effectively with customers to inform them about planned works and potential power outages, including expected duration.
- Update customer records by adding buildings in the affected area and removing those not impacted by the works.
- Identify and register customers who may require additional support on the Priority Services Register (PSR) for essential power needs.
- Ensure accuracy of data by verifying that site conditions match existing records, checking for defects at poles, lines, and substations.
- Collaborate with support staff to ensure seamless communication and reporting of site conditions.
- Document findings and report any discrepancies or issues to management for further action.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support during site visits, addressing any concerns or enquiries from customers.
Qualifications and Education:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers effectively.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently while traveling between sites.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and power distribution (preferred).
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records.
- Valid driver's license.
