Cogent Staffing are recruiting for Warehouse Operative/Pickers for our established automotive distribution client based in Newtownabbey, Belfast.
This is a temporary to permanent role, with successful candidates taken on as a permanent member of staff after a period of 12 qualifying weeks.
Shifts & salary:
- Monday to Friday 08:30 - 17:30
- Alternating Saturday mornings 08:30 - 12:30 (non negotiable)
- £11.70 per hour
- 1 hour unpaid break per shift
- 42 hour working week average
- Ongoing work with potential for a permanent role after 12 full weeks qualifying period
To start ASAP.
Role details:
- Generating pick sheets
- Picking order loads from sheets
- Carrying out warehouse operations, packing orders, processing goods
- Using hand held scanners to pick orders
- Manual handling and heavy lifting of up to 30kg when required
- Driving to regular customers if required with around 10-12 drops per run
The candidate:
- This is predominantly a warehouse role not driving, driving duties will only be in the event you need to cover a Driver who is absent etc. or during peak periods
- Must have no more than 6 points on driving licence
- Must be prepared to pick and load van daily
- Has previous warehouse experience
- Must be capable of lifting up to 30kg
- Comfortable with driving long distances following route navigation when needed
- Happy to work within the warehouse not majority driving
