Credit Controller | Part Time | Hybrid working

Reed Accountancy & Finance are working with a successful, family-run business in the FMCG industry who have a new permanent opportunity for a part time Credit Controller.  

This is a permanent part time opportunity offering hybrid working (20 hours per week)

The Role:

Working as part of a small team, the post holder will be solely responsible for the credit control function within the business. 

Specific duties will involve:

Be responsible for a portfolio of clients and the collection of outstanding debtEnsure compliance with the Company’s credit policy and proceduresTimely and effective collection of all debts and customer payments, maintaining contact with clients to ensure invoices are cleared for paymentResolve queries both internally and externally around outstanding invoicesEscalate disputed or complex accountsAppraise the credit and risk position of the company and provide regular reports on problem accountsBe responsible for ensuring all software system notes are inputted in a timely and accurate mannerDaily use of Xero software

The Person:

3 years experience within a Credit Control departmentExperience in dealing with a large customer basePrevious experience in using an accounts software package, ideally Xero softwareCompetent in using MS OfficeAbility to take ownership of the credit control function in a stand-alone roleMust be able to work effectively both as part of a team and individually
