Group Chief Financial Officer (Part-time)

£100,000 - £120,000 (pro-rata)

Reed Finance is exclusively partnered with a thriving group of businesses in County Antrim (greater Belfast), in the appointment of a part-time Group Chief Financial Officer.

As our client embarks on further significant investment, this is a newly created role which can be undertaken on a two-or three-day week basis.

We are seeking a visionary Group Chief Financial Officer (GCFO) to develop and drive the company's overall financial strategy.  The GCFO will play a key role in overseeing all financial aspects of the company, ensuring financial resources are aligned with the company's business needs and objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement the company's financial strategy to support business goals and objectives
  • Lead the finance team in managing financial operations, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Dealing with lenders and financial institutions
  • Liaise with investors and be central to fundraising plans
  • Be responsible for the company’s corporate services including finance, risk, corporate governance, legal and compliance functions, working with executives and operational management
  • Manage financial risks, mergers and acquisitions, investments, and cash flow to support business operations
  • Drive financial planning and analysis to enhance operational efficiency and profitability
  • Evaluate financial performance and make recommendations for improvement
  • Provide technical advice on financial matters so that the Senior Management Team and Board are fully appraised
  • Participate and develop new business opportunities for the group
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to define financial strategies and priorities
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements
  • Have responsibility for all audit procedures and reporting requirements

About you:

  • Proven experience in a senior financial leadership role
  • Experience of managing international clients
  • Previous experience in the Construction or Engineering sectors preferred
  • Strong background in managing complex financial projects and teams
  • Demonstrated ability to align financial initiatives with business goals
  • Experience in developing and implementing scalable financial strategies
  • Solid understanding of emerging trends in finance and accounting
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels
