REED is assisting a valued non-profit client in Belfast, in the appointment of an Interim Financial Director to cover a period of planned absence for 3 months+.
This is an opportunity for an engaging & highly motivated individual with strong board level communication & leadership skills.
As part of the Strategic Leadership Team, the Director of Finance will be responsible for providing financial leadership to the Group and its subsidiary companies. The Director will ensure the CEO and Boards are provided with sound professional advice on developing and implementing financial strategies to safeguard the long-term financial viability and sustainability of the companies within the Group.
The successful candidate will ensure resources are utilised efficiently, effectively, and economically to support the achievement of the Group’s strategic plan.

Essential Criteria:
- All applicants MUST be a Qualified Accountant and hold membership of one of the major professional accountancy bodies (ICAI, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent).
The successful candidate needs to be able to demonstrate 5 years’ experience in the following areas:
- Experience in a senior financial management role in an organisation with turnover of greater than £20m
- Experience of working directly with a Board
- Experience of leading, managing and developing high-performing teams
- Business planning and management experience
