Brookstreet UK Ltd are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Laundry Technician to join our client based in Newtownabbey.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and infection control in our medical equipment service centre

Monday to Friday full time role and pays £11.44 p/h

Key Responsibilities:

Clean a wide range of medical products, including hospital beds, dynamic/static mattresses, and spare parts from medical equipment.

Adhere to the Company's Infection Control Policy (QSP20), ensuring proper use of cleaning materials, chemicals, procedures, and equipment.

Properly dispose of waste and clinical waste in accordance with company policies.

Perform regular equipment checks, including weekly temperature checks on washing machines, and report any faults immediately.

Consistently use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including waterproof footwear

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare or medical equipment setting would be preferred but not essential

Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness

Ability to follow strict protocols and procedures

Good communication and teamwork skills

Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties throughout the day

Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and workloads
