Admin & Compliance Officer

My client is an organisation based in Newtownabbey; they are currently seeking an Admin & Compliance Officer to join their team.

This is a Full-Time, Permanent Position.

Working Hours: Monday – Friday 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm

Can work from home on a Friday

With a salary of £30-£34,000 per annum – dependent on experience.

Essential Criteria:

  • Previous and demonstrable experience of working in administration and audit/compliance.
  • Previous experience working within the Construction Industry, ideally within M&E. 
  • IT proficient with the use of Microsoft Office software.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal – with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritise a busy workload and deal with confidently with demanding situations, people and requirements.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out the onboarding process as per the Onboarding Checklist for candidates in line with company, client and legislative requirements.
  • Application for visas/work permits for employees working internationally.
  • Documenting process & procedures in line with ISO & client requirements.
  • Undertake regular internal audits to ensure contractual and compliance requirements are delivered.
  • Ensuring appropriate and relevant documentation and record keeping is adopted to monitor quality and compliance.
  • Delivering or arranging ad hoc compliance training for staff members when required.
  • Collate audit information, generating and distributing regular and accurate reports to highlight risks to the business.
  • Facilitate external audits and inspections from third parties.
  • Accurately updating Company Management system.
  • Taking minutes of meetings and circulating in a timely fashion including agreed action points where relevant.
  • Providing support for payroll processing.
  • Providing accurate reporting on a weekly monthly and quarterly basis as required.
  • Liaison with external suppliers when required.
  • Completing CVs as requested.
  • Other administrative support as requested.
  • Some reception duties.
