Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Support: Assist the Band 7 Finance Officer in providing business support services to operational managers, clinicians, and budget managers.
  • Budget Management: Involved in budget setting, monitoring, and reporting to ensure effective financial management.
  • Reporting: Support the completion of consolidated and corporate Trust reporting, both internally and externally.
  • Liaison: Engage with senior Trust staff to assist with budget understanding and related queries.
  • Efficiency Plans: Help develop cash-releasing efficiency plans and recovery strategies for the directorate.
  • Risk Identification: Support early identification of financial threats, highlighting risks, and agreeing on rectification measures.
  • System Development: Assist in enhancing financial systems and reporting tools to improve financial management information quality.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain appropriate records to support processes and satisfy audit requirements.
  • Audit Compliance: Ensure implementation of internal or external audit recommendations related to financial management.
  • Relationship Building: Develop effective working relationships with colleagues across the organisation to achieve Trust objectives.


Salary and Contract Duration:

  • Salary: 28,407 - 34,581 per annum
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week (minimum of 33 hours accepted)
  • Contract Type: 12 months
