Location: Co.Down
Salary: £45,000 per annum (£21.63 p/h)
Working Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Despatch Manager to oversee despatch operations. This individual will be responsible for managing all aspects of despatch, ensuring products are delivered on time, in full, and in compliance with quality standards. The role will involve leading a team of dispatch operatives and working closely with the production and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day despatch operations, ensuring products are packed and despatched to meet customer demand.
  • Lead a team of despatch operatives, providing leadership and support to ensure productivity and efficiency.
  • Ensure timely and accurate dispatch of all orders, adhering to customer specifications and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with the production team to maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure availability for dispatch.
  • Maintain high standards of health, safety, and hygiene in the dispatch area.
  • Monitor and improve performance metrics, such as despatch efficiency and accuracy.
  • Organize and plan the daily dispatch schedule to maximize operational effectiveness.
  • Handle customer service issues related to dispatch, including delivery queries and complaints.
  • Work closely with the logistics team to optimize transportation routes and ensure cost-effective delivery solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and company policies.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in despatch or logistics management, ideally within the food or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards in a warehouse or dispatch environment.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and MS Office.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
