  • To undertake general routine cleaning of fixtures, fittings and internal fabric of buildings within the Normanby Hall Business Unit, with the exception of museum collections.
  • To be responsible for emptying bins, removing waste to a disposal area, mopping, sweeping, spray cleaning, vacuum cleaning, wall washing and polishing.
  • To be responsible for cleaning the toilet areas, including toilet bowls, urinals and hand basins and including de-scaling as necessary.
  • To undertake specialist cleaning tasks as directed which will include polishing of wooden floor areas.
  • To operate domestic and industrial cleaning equipment including steam cleaners and floor polishers.
  • To be responsible for the safe keeping of cleaning chemicals and toiletries.
  • To maintain appropriate levels of cleaning materials and toiletries and notify the Rangers when further supplies are required.
  • To notify the Rangers of faults, damage and vandalism or matters which may interrupt or restrict the cleaning programme.
  • To assist in the set up and break down of tabling and other resources for conferences and functions.
  • To be responsible for the security of buildings as appropriate.

Experience of cleaning large building areas

Experience of operating specialist cleaning equipment
