Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this is very much a hands on role, ideally suited to a multi skilled technician. Working to and achieving all agreed objectives and KPI’s
On a typical day, you will:
- Carry out prompt and effective repairs to manufacturing equipment under a BRC Standard making sure equipment is kept operational and performing well in a safe and timely manner
- Ensure all maintenance is accurately logged through the PPM system
- Work on a variety of machinery such as; Label Applicators, Tube Cutters, Glue machines as per the planned Maintenance Schedule to ensure machinery is in its best working order at all times
- You will coordinate with the production team and site managers to assess which tasks take priority with minimal disruption to production
- Carry out change overs to lines working with the production team as well as making improvements to maximise efficiencies
Qualifications:
Aprenticeship time served technician or equivalent, with a recognised craft or technical qualification.
i.e. City & Guilds / B tech/ HNC or equivalent.
Driving Licence Essential
Experience and Skills Required.
A sound knowledge of machining techniques including turning, milling and welding.
Skilled in Pneumatics / hydaulics, a knowledge of electrical circuits and controls, PLC’s and drives.
Able to work to schematic drawings.
Personal Qualities
Able to priortise, work in a fast-paced and use your own initiative.
Excellent communication skills, a “can-do” attitude and a determination to succeed.
