Setting out Engineer

Based in Loughborough

3 month rolling contract (possibility of extension)

£300 – £325 per day 

We have a fantastic opportunity with a Tier 1 client working on a contract basis. The client is requiring a Site/Setting Out Engineer on a civils based project, the company is a market leader and involved with major projects across the United Kingdom. This will be a great opportunity to gain experience with a Tier 1 contractor and develop yourself further.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure all permits ready for site work to commence
• Ensure the Inspection and Test Plans, and Quality Check Sheets are completed as soon as the checks can be completed
• Setting out and surveying
• Managing subcontractors
• Manage distribution of information
• Write and approve method statements and risk assessments and ensure they are being followed throughout the works
• Liaising with the client and other key stakeholders
• Checking design drawings and reporting any issues or inconsistencies
• Liaise with other Sections to ensure a smooth flow of work.
• Regularly review procedures to ensure they are as efficient as possible.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Worked on heavy civil projects
• CSCS card
• NVQ Level 4 or above
• Experience in setting out role
• Line and level survey experience
• Previous Tier 1 or sub-contractor experience
• CSCS Card
• Able to produce QA reports, completing engineering documentation
• Water experience preferred.
