Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver, collect, and return generators and ancillaries to customer sites throughout the UK.
  2. Ensure a high quality of service to customers, achieving complete customer satisfaction.

As a HGV Driver, you will be required to

  • Load and unload vehicles.
  • Operate a forklift truck.
  • Deliver generators and ancillaries to site and collect them from site.
  • Assist engineers on-site.
  • Refuel generators on-site and in the depot.
  • Maintain tidy work areas through general housekeeping.
  • Install and dismantle generators on customer sites.
  • Complete daily vehicle inspections and report defects to the transport department.
  • Complete and submit all company paperwork as per procedure.
  • Safeguard all company assets; ensure nothing leaves the depot without correct paperwork.
  • Maintain cleanliness and serviceability of the company vehicle or any occasional loan vehicles.
  • Promote teamwork and cooperation across the Generator Power Group of Companies.
  • Treat all employees and customers with professionalism and respect.
  • Act in the best interests of the Generator Power Group of Companies.
  • Follow safe working practices and adhere to Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental guidelines (ISO 9001:14001 and OHSAS 18001).
  • Contribute proactively to the company’s policy of continuous improvement.
  • Carry out any reasonable ad-hoc duties as requested by your direct Line Manager or the Management Team.

Qualifications/Skills Required:

  • High school or equivalent
  • Class 1 HGV (Essential)
  • CPC full 35 hours of drivers' periodic training (until 09.09.2019 or later)
  • ADR or working towards it (All classes including tanks + other than tanks)
  • Forklift Truck Licence
  • HIAB/Lorry Loader Licence

Experience Required:

  • HGV driving experience
