Job Title: Credit Controller

Location: Wakefield, United Kingdom

About Us: Search Consultancy are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Credit Controller to join their finance team on a permanent basis. If you have a strong background in credit control and are ready to start as soon as possible, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and monitor customer accounts to ensure timely payments.
  • Chase overdue invoices via phone, email, and letters.
  • Resolve payment discrepancies and disputes efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records of all credit control activities.
  • Prepare regular reports on outstanding debts and credit status.
  • Collaborate with the sales and finance teams to address any billing issues.
  • Assist in setting up new customer accounts and credit limits.
  • Ensure compliance with company credit policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience in a credit control or similar role.
  • Proficiency in Sage, Excel, Outlook, and similar finance software
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • No formal qualifications required.

What We Offer:

  • Salary up to £27,000.
  • Permanent position with hybrid working (3 days on-site).
  • Full-time hours: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (37 hours per week).
