I am working with a school that is seeking a dedicated and proactive SEND Teaching Assistant to support learners with special educational needs. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with autistic learners who may display challenging behaviour. Some personal care may also be required.

Responsibilities
  • Support the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons.
  • Work with students on a one-to-one and group basis.
  • Support autistic children who have an Educational Health and Care Plan.
  • Differentiate learning to meet each childs' needs.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and report on learner progress.
  • Help with classroom management and organisation.
  • Encourage and engage learners in their personal and academic learning.
  • Attend to personal care as and when required.
