This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically strong accountant to lead the Group Reporting team in a large, fast-paced, high-growth business.

The Group Reporting Manager will play a pivotal role in all financial accounting matters, including preparing subsidiary statutory accounts and the preparation of robust consolidated group accounts.   As well as being the business lead on all statutory reporting and audit matters, this role will ensure strong controls and processes are in place around period-end close and group reporting, including monthly consolidated management accounts. This role will leverage efficiency across the business in terms of financial processes, accounting and reporting.    Additional responsibilities will include:

•    Advising on technical accounting matters including bad debt provisioning, revenue recognition and lease accounting •    Preparation of working papers to support statutory disclosures•    Responsible for the production of extended trial balances and statutory disclosures •    Working with tax manager and external tax advisors to support corporation tax compliance•    Ensuring management reporting packs are produced on a timely basis and reconciled including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow statement•    Preparation of monthly group consolidation, including consolidation adjustments •    Oversee capex and disposals reporting as well as fixed asset accounting and ledger reconciliations•    Support Group Reporting Team on period-end close process, audit and other routine reporting requirements as required 

To be successful in this role you will be a technically strong and qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with practical experience in the application of accounting standards (IFRS, FRS 101 and 102).  This role would be particularly suited to someone who has trained in the profession, before moving into a financial accounting role in a large business.  You will ideally have the proven ability to successfully lead a team and you'll have a strong work ethic, and the drive and desire to work in a fast-paced environment where you can make an impact.
