Level 3 Nursery Nurse required for Private Nursery based in Normanton, WF6.
OverviewAs a Nursery Nurse, you will play a vital role in the early development and care of children in a nursery setting. Your primary responsibility will be to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children aged from birth to five years. You will work closely with parents and other staff members to ensure that each child's individual needs are met, fostering their growth and development through engaging activities and play.
Duties
- Provide high-quality care and education for children in the nursery.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
- Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records of their development.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
- Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and play sessions.
- Ensure the nursery environment is clean, safe, and welcoming for all children.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the overall functioning of the nursery.
- Demonstrate leadership skills by guiding less experienced staff or volunteers when necessary.
Skills
- Strong understanding of early childhood education principles.
- Experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting.
- Ability to manage groups of children effectively while ensuring their safety.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Knowledge of childcare practices and relevant legislation.
