Children's Social Worker - Wakefield Metropolitan District Council

About the Role:
As a Children's Social Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable children and families. You will be responsible for:
- Managing a caseload of children and families in need of support.
- Conducting assessments and investigations, including Section 47 enquiries.
- Developing and implementing care plans.
- Working collaboratively with partner agencies, including schools, health services, and the police.
- Attending court and representing the Local Authority.
- Providing advice and support to families.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
About You:
- Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
- Demonstrable experience of working with children and families.
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance, including the Children Act 1989.
- Excellent assessment and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle (desirable).
