Berry recruitment is actively seeking a committed Fork Lift Driver to cover the potato harvesting season. You will be stacking potato boxes, helping with the logistics of moving the harvested potatoes to the factories off site. Loading lorries. If there is a lull in work pending more harvest coming to site then you will be required to help out with some manual tasks such as mending potato boxes etc.
With the nature of this work and the seasonality then for the harvest; 7 days a week will be worked and when the harvest is being gathered in 12 hours a day is not unusual.
Please be prepared for the flexibility. When it rains then usually you would gain a days break!
Because of the flexibility needed in this commitment of 3-4 months then the pay is reflected well. After 8 hours Monday to Friday time and half is paid and weekends and Bank Holidays time and half is paid.
Candidate must hold a counterbalance certificate.
Start date 9/9/2024 ideally.
