Major Recruitment is currently recruiting Polyamide production technician for our client based in Yatton , North Somerset .

ROLE:

Polyamide production technician

HOURS OF WORK:

12hours rotating shift pattern

Shift 1: 6am-6pm Mon-Weds, 6am-2pm Thursday (44hrs)

Shift 2:6pm-6am Mon-Weds (36hrs)

Shifts are rotating, 1 week of each.

PAY RATE:

Up to 13.06 per hour dependant on experience

With 15% shift allowance = 15.09

DUTIES:

  • Develop and optimize new and existing polymeric materials for Smart Systems manufacturing requirements.
  • To oversee new product introduction across the production process.
  • To introduce, monitor and sign off process improvements through the polyamide extrusion department.
  • Assisting with new process set up and development.
  • Monitoring production to ensure quality.
  • Monitoring and improving processes.
  • Studying work orders, drawings and making controlled alterations to assist with the development of polyamide extrusion systems.
  • Working to set procedures and tolerances.
  • Maintain continuity among colleagues by documenting, reporting and communicating on actions, irregularities and continuing needs.
  • Developing risk assessments and operational procedures.
  • Work and liaise with various departments and external suppliers in the development of tooling systems.
  • Ensuring production output demands are met and a quality product is manufactured.
  • Creating reports to communicate the department's development.
  • Overseeing recruitment and team development.
  • Achieving ISO standard certification
  • Reducing wastage and minimise loss
  • Managing output requirements on a daily basis
  • Work closely with production, supply chain management, existing and potential material suppliers, and the relevant standards agencies.
  • To cover other duties as required by the business.
  • To assist with and work to ensure adherence to all relevant standards.
