What will I be doing?
- Assess and resolve issues with surface treatment processes.
- Evaluate and improve surface deposition processes, including tooling, anodes, bath setups, and preparation.
- Support plating operators and amend technical documentation.
- Control stock levels and carry out chemical additions/dilutions as required.
- Liaise with subcontractors to improve internal and external processes.
- Maintain water treatment and effluent plants.
- Ensure correct storage and disposal of plating chemicals and hazardous waste.
- Work closely with the engineering, laboratory, and supply teams
What skills and experience do I need?
- Experience in a surface treatments environment.
- Understanding of electrodeposition and chemical conversion.
- Strong numeracy, literacy, and IT skills (Microsoft Office).
- Experience handling chemicals safely and responsibly.
- Quality-driven team player with the ability to work under pressure.
- Qualifications in physical or chemical sciences.
What hours will I be working?
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, rotating from shifts.
- A Shift: Monday to Thursday 6:00 am to 1:35 pm, Friday 6:00 am to 12:45 pm
- B Shift: Monday to Thursday 1:25 pm to 9:05 pm, Friday 12:35 pm to 7:00 pm
